    Missed Call Icons

Ok, Simple question. I was on vacation for 7 days and left my work BlackBerry 8830 which is on my work BIZ/BES server at home. All was well except when I got home I have about 350 emails and 12 missed phone calls. The problem is that the 12 missed calls will not go away!...I have rebooted it, resync by cable and refreshed everything i can think of. I have pushed the HTR from the phone and the website..

Help the icons drive me nuts!!!!

Ok I don't think I'm understanding what your saying. Once I pull up the call log what do I do? I see no options to push or change anything. Thanks.

You can access your call log by pressing your green phone or by going into your messages and hitting Alt + p. Once there highlight the missed call # (usually in yellow on my pearl) and then hit the menu key and select view history and its shows the time/s they called. Then back out of it. It worked for me on my older version of software. Hope this helps . . .

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ok so I tried to do the alt p thing and no dice it didn't do anything. Then I tried to change the theme. If I select the vista looking one there is no icons for missed calls whoo hoo. However if I switch back to zen, that little bastard is there smiling back at me.

The indication here is a corruption in the data base. Here is the proceedure to clear the database on the handheld. Be sure to back up your BlackBerry before clearing any database, otherwise your information will be permanently lost.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
To clear the Messages database using BlackBerry® Desktop Manager, complete the following steps:
    1. Connect to your desktop computer.
    2. Launch BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    3. Double-click Backup and Restore, then click Advanced.
    4. From the list of Device Databases, select the appropriate database. For email messages, select Messages.
    5. Click Clear.
    6. In the Warning window, click OK.
Let us know if this helps!

Just to be sure as my post might not have been clear...did you clear the Phone Call Logs using the Desktop Manager?

You should just be able to highlight them and delete them from the missed call log.

    same problem

I have this same problem on my 8820.

I even tried another user's recommendation to backup my data, and do a full restore of the BB which took hours since i had to reconfigure things with my company's BES.

    It worked.

And 3 weeks later the "missed calls" icon reappeared again.

Deleting call logs, switching themes, none of that works for me.

    Thumbs up Worked for me

Connected to Desktop Manager. Deleted phone log. Deleted messages. Works fine. Not showing the missed call anymore. Thanks!
