Memory Usage: Help!
Ok so ive read mannnny a threads on the memory issue of BB and the 8830 is no different. Ive seen how to delete, what to delete, so on and so forth....
but when reading this...
C:\program files\common files\research in motion\Shared\Loader Files\ (YOUR OS VERSION) \Java into some other folder elsewhere.
that does not exist on my computer so im lost!
im running the 8830 with V22.214.171.124
it refers to the BB OS that needs to be on your PC. Do you have that installed?
If not you can find the latest version here: http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com/blog.php?b=86
you mean the desktop manager? yeah i do have that
No, I mean the BlackBerry operating system (BB OS). You need that installed also. Without that you will not have the folder you described. The link I posted above will list all vendors and the latest version they offer. Find your vendor, download the OS for your BB model and install. Then you will see the folder you are referring to.

You need desktop which is also referred to as DM and device which is the OS. The dl desktop software is what you would use to tether your BB as a modem ($15/mo via VZW) and for AirCards.
