THought I had it done and ordered, then transferred me to different rep when she said I couldn't get it til end of May as well. Said its only available to business customers right now.

Said price was 419, less 25% discount, less 50 mail in rebate.

Currently using 7250......does my current phone use same cdma?

Full retail price is $519 USD.

If you qualify for an upgrade (annual or the 'New Every Two' plan), the price is $399.

You also may qualify for a mail in (or instant online) rebate of $100.

All of this is only available aftre May 28th if you are a retail, or personal account holder. If you have a business rep, you can get different deals.

The 8830 is the first Verizon phone that is GSM compatible in any way. (As far as I'm aware).
If you had a BB before the 8830, then it is CDMA.

They're going to release VZ navigator for it in a couple of months; but you can download google maps and use the GPS with that. So far so good.

I just ordered mine today. The dumb rep didn't complete the order before the end of the day so I won't have it until Thursday.

Plan 1350 min + unlimited data 79.99 (or something like that)
    Phone $299 + $150 mail-in rebate for 2 year agreement w/ unlimited data.

$149.00 Total for the phone after rebates.... not bad.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I was interested in the 8830, but I'm going to wait for the Curve instead. Just got my 8703 a couple of months ago anyway.

Also, the rebate is instant if you order online.
They said with my company busines plan, it was $299 plus a mail in rebate. The total price after tax and shipping was $336. When I ordered mine yesterday, it wasnt available to order online. I have had it for about 6 hours now and it is far supierior to the 7130 and 7250 I have used in the past. Not sure why I am posting from a computer instead of the BB right now...
