    I've heard reports that the .196 OS release may have addressed some of these odd media player reboots that have been reported. Can you give that a shot?

    I am running .176 and I havent had any problems with the media player.
    "T-Dub"
    T- Mo: BB 9700, 8900, 8220
    Sprint: BB 8330, 8830, 8130, 8703, 7250

    But there's a beautiful view of the end of the world from the pier.....

    I noticed the same problem while travelling through mountain areas with spotty coverage. I just shut off the phone for a while.
