Question HTTP Error 504: Gateway Timeout (??)

For some reason I am getting the message: "HTTP Error: Gateway Timeout" when I attempt to access a webpage of mine, http://cmd130cam.viewnetcam.com/ from my BlackBerry.

I don't get the message when I use my Thinkpad or my PC, just from my BlackBerry.

Up until today I have never had a problem accessing the website with my BlackBerry.

Can someone help me with this strange occurance?

    Thanks!

    :-)

Have you made any changes to your device? Also, have you changed anything on the webpage?

No. I've made no changes on the webpage at all. None.

And the only thing I've done with the device is, and this was only after trying to connect unsuccessfully over and over with no success, I flushed the Content Cache and cleared the History in the Brower Options. Just incase that had anything to do with it. It was the only thing I could think of. I also took the battery out and restarted.

    This is so bizarre.

Is it a webserver you own and run, or is it through a hosting service?

Usually that means that the server is down or overloaded, usually it goes away in a few minutes. If it keeps happening contact your host.

The host is Panasonic's viewnetcam.com which anyone who has a Panasonic network camera can use for Internet access to the camera.

And again, I can access the site from anywhere EXCEPT my BlackBerry. So it seems to me to be a problem with the BlackBerry.

Any further insight on this issue of mine?

    I've tried everything I know.

I agree it must be the phone.

Yes, I can access any other website except mine.

And I've changed nothing on either the website or my Blackberry.

I should probably add, that it only takes about 1 or 2 seconds for me to the the "Timeout" message.

So it seems to me it is not truly timing out because a normal Gateway Timeout takes at least 30 seconds. At least in my experience.

    I just don't get it.

Since you've changed nothing on the device and you don't host the site yourself, I'm willing to bet something changed on your host's backend. Try accessing it from another BlackBerry, preferably the same model, if you can. If that's not an option, I'd call the hosting company's tech support.

Okay, I was able to try to access the netcam using my friend's BB Curve on Verizon, which I am on.

And as with my BB, it immediately, withing a second or two, "Times Out."

So, since the netcam can be accessed virtually by any other PC, would it be a Verizon Wireless issue?

    Should I speak with them?
