    8830 Reminders

I have noticed that on the 8830 there is no option to set a reminder for missed messages or missed phone calls. The only reminder i have found is the flashing LED. This does not help when the phone is in its holster and I am getting annoyed at the fact that I have to check my phone every 30 min to make sure i have not missed a SMS or a phone call.

Is there anyway to set vibrating reminders.

    Thank you,
    jeremy

    thinkjerm Welcome to PinStack!

First you need to go into your profile on your homepage. Once there scroll down to the bottom until you get to advanced.. Now click on the bold active profile and scroll down to SMStext and there is where you change settings to vibrate or ring when holstered

I know where to change the settings for vibrate or ring. I am looking for a vibrating or ringing reminder rather than just having the LED flash as a reminder that there is a missed message.

    Thank you

I believe the section called repeat notification. Rather than led flashing I would like to change that setting to vibrate if possible.

    Thank you

There are two aftermarket (3rd party applications) solutions to having reminders for your phone:

    Blackberry Alerts http://www.handango.com/PlatformProd...oductId=199266

    Webmessenger Alerts http://www.webmessenger.com/products/mablackberry.htm

I use the BBalerts and it works great. Also cheap

I was wondering if there was a free way to do this. It is a shame to pay $500 for a phone and not have the simple features that would come with a $30 phone.
