~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~i downlpoaded and installed last night. So far so good, I did notice that some themes do not work, such as surreal, other than that, no major memeory issues. I am using without too many apps, just what is needed, no BBM, maps, or password keeper.

    I installed the 4.5 on my sprint 8830 twice, then i downgraded.....twice

first time was because my ToDo Matrix didnt work with it, then the second time was because my Bluetooth keyboard would not work nor would BB smart.

Hopefully when the official release comes out or at a minimum the next version of the beta, some of that stuff will be fixed.

Yes I agree, BB smart does not work for me also. I am on Verizon though. But with that being said with the BIS upgrade the HTML functionality works so I don't need BB smart anymore. I had huge memory losses before 4.5 so I am very happy as they are now gone. I could barely last a day before I had to reboot. Now I can last at least a week. I am sticking with this beta or at least until a new beta comes out.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I tried and it didn't for my vzw 8830, called tech support and they gave me the garbage that verizon phones are locked from getting beta OS' on their phones...junk if you ask me. I just want to try something new.

I have 4.5.0.51 working on my Verizon 8830 - no problems encountered. I am on a BES, so I'm still using Empower for email presentation at the moment...
I tried to fail, but I did not succeed.

What version is your BES? HTML Email is supported on BES 4.1.6(4.1 SP6) or it can be enabled via 4.1 SP5 hack as well.

If u have sprint the following link will take u to the page for u to log into ure BIS. The UserID and password is the same as u enter when u first set up ure email account to ure BB. Other wise s0print customer service will assist with login.

    https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=sprint (Sprint)

    https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw&locale=en (Verizon)

Once in u will see "service book" on the left hand column, click on it and the option for "send service book" is right there.

I'll be pushing for this at work soon
I do Infrastructure Architecture, so I'll just get the BES Admin to do it or do it myself. The beauties of having the keys to the castle in IT lol

Hello, I am a bb newbie. I just received VZW 8830 for work with company outlook/Exchange email access.

Question: If I upgraded the OS to 4.5.051 beta, will I still be able to access all my emails? Do still I have to setup the Enterprise Activation again?
