    8830 & Desktop Manager Problem

    I just got a 8830 from Telus. I installed the new DM that came with the 8830. It worked fine the first time i loaded it on my pc and synced it with my outlook etc

    Now i'm trying to sync it again and it doesnt show up on DM. I've installed and reinstalled everything like 10 times now with the new DM 4.3 and everything. It shows up in the connection but doesn't connect the unit to the pc.

    I connect my old 8703e and it connects fine but the 8830 isnt.

    Any suggestions?

    did you uninstall 4.2 DM fully? maybe that is what is giving you the issue?
    what about handheld software, do you have that loaded on your pc too?

    did you uninstall 4.2 DM fully? maybe that is what is giving you the issue?

    -I think i did, i followed the instructions to clean it out completely from registry etc



    what about handheld software, do you have that loaded on your pc too?
    -Thats what i installed the handhelds software

    Its very weird, i dont have another pc to test it on so i'm goingto go to the telus store and they are going to connect it and see if it pops up and if it does then its a problem on my end. I'll keep you posted. I also unchecked the usb power saver to see

    I figured out the problem. It's my computer. Connected my bb to my gfs laptop and connected but not on my desktop anymore so its windows xp pro. Soo now to figure this out
