    7130e to 8830

My carrier will be releasing the 8830 soon and I am thinking about switching. Will it be a big deal and can I just back up the 7130 and restore it to the 8830?

Would also like to hear from those that have the 8830. Would you switch to the 8830 if you had it to do over? Or, should i stay with the 7130?
    Thanks,

No it shouldn't. Just upgrade your Desktop Manager to 4.2. Using the Switch Device Wizard on Desktop Manager, back up the 7130e and it will restore your items to your 8830 (if they are compatible).

Definately worth the upgrade. I had the 7130 and made the jump to the 8830 and love it. The trackball is much easier to navigate with and the full keyboard and thinner device are big plusses. Take the plunge!

Thanks for the replies. I think I will take the plunge!
One other question, will it read word attachments out of the box?

I can't say for sure. But, I do know that my 8703e reads Word docs, straight from the box. So, I'm sure the 8830 would too.
