    yet another Gmail quesiton

Yes I am new to PinStack but I have searched and read almost everything on this forum regarding Gmail.

My question is... Well I don't know about you guys but I am with Rogers here in Canada and they charge quite a bit for band usage... won't it cost me a fortune every month if my BB is checking and downloading all my gmail emails every few minutes? ... unless I am missing somethihng here.

FYI: My data package is 25mb/month and this has to include my work emails as well.

You will be fine. 25mb a month is for 51 to 500 emails DAILY.

Make sure you don't have junk mail coming in though cause that can up your email count.

And what about emails with attachments? it will only count if I open the attachment on my BB right... or will I get charged the bandwidth of all attachments as well?

As for attachments it can depend on if you tell your BB to download the attachments or not.

the BB does not check for mail, the Blackberry network checks for new mail for you, and pushes it right to your device as they come.

no the checking goes on behind the scenes, and does not involve your BB therefore does not count against your usage. Once the BB servers find new mail it pushes that to your BB which is when your usage counts

    (if I'm wrong someone correct)

If you use the gmail client for your gmail account, you can set it up to not auto check for new messages. That way it will only check when you hit refresh.

    Re: yet another Gmail quesiton

I have my email come to my BB daily. I configured it to forward email only from Gmail. I only get a few emails a day so it's not an issue, and you can configure filters for forwarding on Gmail.
