Is there a way to sync my outlook inbox with my BB? I'd like the two to look identical if possible.

My thought is that when I connect to my computer it will sync the email the same way it does my calendar. Is this possible?

You can sync your inbox, yes. Login to your BIS, setup your email account(s) and then on your BB, go to Options, Reconciliation and enable Wireless Reconciliation.
Also under your options menu, change your "Delete On:" to Handheld & Mailbox or Prompt. I have mine on Prompt so I can delete on one & not the other if I so choose.

Also, regarding sync options, under your Desktop Manager, enable two-way sync or one-way with your desktop mailbox as the primary sync option.

Just to add to what KalebsDad78 said. You can keep them sync'd from this point on but you cannot sync over existing emails from your inbox. Only new mail will be available on the device.

My email sync options on desktop manager are greyed out. Anyone know how I can pull it up?

Have you gone in to the PIM and set up the sync options?

    Mike,

As I understand it in most BIS environments there is no true email sync between outlook and your BB. The BB can delete messages from the server, however if Outlook has already retrieved them it will not affect your outlook inbox. Same applies the other way - once the BB has retreived a message there is no communication with Outlook, and deleting an email in outlook will not affect the BB (unless your outlook deletes it from the server before the BB retireves it).

The reconcile messages in desktop manager will only work in a BES / redirector environment.

If you are using BIS you won't be able to sync email with DTM. That is only available for BES and Redirector.

and what GaryF said is right. You don't actually sync you reconcile email and it depends on the type of mail platform you are using as to whether or not it will work for you.

when you go to sync on DM you can check reconcile messages and that will update the bb with new from your outlook account

If you are installed for BIS however that option will be grayed out.
