    kinda stupid question...

I just got my new 8703e to replace my 7250 with sprint. So I went to the BIS website to switch BBs. It wouldnt let me do that...so i tried to create a new acount..it was letting me but for some reason at the part where i have to enter a new password it kept saying "Passwords must be 6-16 characters in length. They are case-sensitive and cannot contain accented characters"

well i had a lowercase alphanumeric password 8 characters long with no accent marks and it keeps giving me that damn message! what do i do?

yea stupid i know...thats why its so frustrating!

Or call Sprint and when they ask what department, ask for "blackberry support" because a regular CSR is going to do no good...

Tell them the situation you are having and ask them to force send the service books to your device...

Make sure you aren't on the Berry and call from a different phone...

There may be an error in the BIS, an error on the device, etc.

I am sure you (As do ALL of us) rely on actual carrier support as a very very very last resort, however, there may be something there. It may not be a problem with your device at all, it could be a service problem.

    Keep us updated...

Thanks for the advice everyone - yeah N8 i agree..i rely on carrier support as a last resort. and thanks for the number...the person told me that i need a special blackberry data plan...seems kinda obvious but i didnt think of it because my last phone, a BB 7250, worked fine without the special blackberry data plan...my question is now this- can i use my current hosted BES with Power Vision, or does the blackberry always need a special blackberry plan?
