    I believe your internet speed depends on the type of service you have. As in>3g, wifi, edge. Each one has its benefits

    So far 3G is the fastest, but watch out 4G on its way.

    Yes the speed depends on model. The theoretical fastest would be the Bold 9000 with ATT service in an area with ATT 3G coverage and not too many iPhone users. Next fastest would be a Storm 9530 on Verizon in an area with good EV-DO Rev A coverage.
    Speed will also heavily depend on the site being browsed. Many sites that are optimized for mobile can actually give you a "faster" user experience over a "slower" device/carrier combination. So some sites might be faster on a 2G TMO 8900 than on a 3G ATT 9000.
    So, in the end there is NO SUCH THING as "fastest".
