I am trying to go to a web site ( different ones, not just one)and I am getting a error message saying "insufficient memory to complete request" so is that just a server problem or is on the phone?

if you have alot of apps and pics and music and no memory card then you may have used all the free memory you have available. do what he said ^^^.
i have about 30mb at any given time. i also have a 1GB mem card in that is half way filled. the mem cards now cost almost nothing. do let us know the value you have next to the entry field of "File Free" in the status window. it will help us solve your problem quicker

here is what I have, 30938947 Bytes so how much is that? I do have memory card a 4gig and I don't think any of my games are on the card and I don't know how to put them on there to begin with, but I do have quite a few games but I did a battery pull and it's fine now but I am sure I need to do something different to prevent it again, so any suggestions I will gladly accept!

Jeanne, Glad the reset fixed it temporarily but, if it happens again, you need an expert to help you out. I haven't seen this problem but it sounds like a setting or a set of conditions rather than a lack of memory for sure. I assume that you're using the BB browser for your browsing, right?

Is there an expert available to take a look at this problem for Jeanne? ("insufficient memory to complete request" while attempting to browse the internet.)

    Jeanne,

The fact that a reset helped leads me to believe it is likely you had too many open applications which caused the error.

If you run into this again, hold the ALT key and click the escape (back arrow) key. This will bring up your open applications, and you can scroll thru them (with the track ball) and consider closing some to free up available memory.

Also Jeanne, In reference to your post #4, I failed to mention that you can't install applications (games, etc.) on your media card and run from there. All aps currently have to be in device memory.

something as a side to consider is to have the phone power on then off every night. this would automatically close most of those programs so you can have the available memory. Options>auto on/off then set it power of at like 3am and back on at 330am... that might help you out a bit.

thanks, this info is good to know, I just have to reconcile to the fact that I can't have too many apps on here at one time. Too bad Rim can't come up with something so you would be able to run them from the card. Why have a big memory card if you can't use it except for pics and documents? Hey, we are not all business here ( some of us just like to play ) and I know the BB's are more business oriented but I do like the phone, just wishing for too many things I guess!!!
