How-To: Default 'From' Address/Copies of sent emails.

I run 3 different email accounts on my Blackberry. The standard BB one and 2 Gmail accounts. For a while the default From account was set to my BB email. Now, I don't want the whole world knowing it, I prefer to send emails from my default Gmail account. I was just changing it manually for a while, but this would cause me to get an additional copy of sent emails in my inbox. So here's the fix:
Go to Options -> Advanced -> Message Services -> and edit the default there. Don't forget to save (N8D) and you should be good to go. Viola! No more multiple copies of emails and every is happy.

Hope that's clear enough of a How-To. Please feel free to add anything I left out or additional information.

Alright, I take it back. Setting the default from worked, but I'm still getting the sent emails.

With gmail, you need to set a filter on your BIS to not forward messages "sent from" you.

Viola is a string instrument, slightly larger than a violin.

Voilŕ is a french term which is roughly equivalent to "and there you have it!". But literally, voilŕ is a contraction of the imperative conjugation of the verb voire, to view/to look, and lŕ, there. Literally interpreted: "look there".

I just don't get why it's happening. It never did it till recently, even with no filter. But I'll do that.

Finally fixed! Setting the filter in BIS did the trick.

Log in to your account on your Carriers website. Then find the section on Blackberry email accounts. Edit the entry for each account and add a filter. If the sender is your email address then have it not forward to handheld.
