Having some email issues with my 8900!

I don't know why, but I can't get any emails. When I got my 8900 all I did was resend service books then the emails accounts came up on my BB. I was getting emails when I checked it on the computer, but none was going to my BB. So I tried removing them and getting the accounts back from scratch. The AIM account deletes, but my GMail account wont go away and I can't add it back up until it does. I keep getting an error message saying ...

"An error occurred during email account validation. Please check your information and try again. If the error persists please contact your email account provider. "

Anyone know how to remove the GMail account from my BB so I can re add it? Yes I did a battery pull, but will do another one.

    Thanks!

EDIT: It looks like I'm starting to get mail from my AIM account.

    Heavy,

Are you quite sure that your new device PIN has been entered into the BIS?

Ya I had to re-register my new pin the last time I changed phone. Once I did that it was good. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Are you sure your account might still have your old pin on file make sure is been release I seen this is the problem for the most part I had to manually go into my account from my pc and enter the new pin on tmobile. There very easy to fix on your pc but my new BB when I registered didn't replace the old pin ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Suggest you go to your BIS page and enter the PIN of the new device there. I would bet thats your issue. Just swapping out your SIM card will provide the phone and some data service, but you have to change your device PIN on the BIS in order to get your emails, etc. You are probably having issues with BBM as well?

No, I don't have problems with BBM. I did put my PIN and IMEI number on the BIS website.

Ok then, go into your service books and delete the gmail account service books (there will be two, CICAL and CMIME)

Then try resending your service books and see if that helps.

Have you also registered in Host Routing Table?

    GaryF,

I deleted what you told me to and resent my service books. I got my emails back, but I haven't done the host routing. How do I do that?

    Glad that helped.

To re-register your device with your network open your Host Routing Table under Advanced Options, hit Menu, then Register Now
