    Forwarding e-mail to blackberry.net

    Hello, all. Newbie here.

I have a question about e-mail forwarded to my blackberry.net address and haven't found an exact answer.

I have an e-mail account from an Exchange server which I normally access through Outlook Web Access. There is usually a delay in receiving these messages on my BB. From the information I found on these forums, I set up a rule in OWA to forward the messages to my blackberry.net account and set the Exchange account to not forward to the BB. I set the blackberry.net account reply-to field as the Exchange account. Now I get the messages almost instantly, which is great!

However, on the BB in my messages folder the "From:" field shows the Exchange account. If I want to see the original sender, I have to open the message and scroll down to the original e-mail. I don't mind the scrolling within the message, but is there any way to see the original sender in the "From:" field in my messages folder without having to open the message? Are there any other settings I may have missed?

    Thanks for your help!

I read in another thread of a person that had the same problem with a similar issue, in that thread they found that there is no way to see the original sender in the "From" field.

This isn't a problem - it's called the way email works. You're seeing exactly what you're getting - an email from your BlackBerry account.

BIS delay is at most 15 minutes, and my Gmail accounts are typically well under 5 minutes - and usually less than 1 minute (don't know why it's so fast though!).

If you need better performance than that, you should get a hosted BES account (or get your Exchange server a BES!).

Yeah, that's what I figured but just wanted to be sure. It's not a big problem, so I can deal with it.

    Thanks for the help!

You'd have to redirect and not forward. However, IIRC redirection is only an option on the Exchange server and not in Outlook.
