aight this is what the verizon wizards told me. RIM has reported that there is a nation wide outage and will be resolved in 24-48 hrs i asked if this was verizon or all carriers ,he said he was not sure but probably all carriers . he said this was intermittent and not all people are affected some people are getting emails from some email accounts and not from others. he said he hadn't received any emails all day.
Bummer news. Hopefully it won't take them that long to get it resolved.
Well it at least it's not YOUR phone and you got it narrowed down.

Except I can't even resend service books, because when I go to E-mail Settings, it asks me to create an account, and then it says my PIN already has an account. (Previously, it was in the single-sign-on mode, where the E-mail Settings app would just take me to the settings without requiring a logon.)
A friend has Gmail and has no problems. No idea if that's gmail vs not, or (more likely) just a random outage affecting some percentage of the servers.
