    Email synch problem.

    I'm a new owner of a Blackberry 8700g with T-Mobile.

I've been using my gmail account just fine on my BB unti today when I logged in to gmail on my desktop. Ever since I logged in on my desktop, I stopped receiving emails on my BB. I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix this. Any suggestions would be massively appreciated.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~hi Ryland, I used to be able to use that same service but VZW discontinued it. I recall an option that enables you to get your email on the web page or have it delivered to your handset. Also I can log onto BIS & have email forwarded to my handheld. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the swift reply Tai. I was just using my gmail account as my primary to be forwarded to my Blackberry. Why would it stop when I logged in from my desktop? I want to be able to have identical inboxes on my BB inbox as well as in my desktop inbox. Is there anyway to do this?

    Ryland,
I am having the same problem. I have deleted my GMail accounts and put them back on to no avail. I don't understand what's going on. It seems that I can send using my gmail, but it's not receiving anything. However, it's receiving on my PC. I have resent my service books, etc. I am thoroughly disgusted at this point. Not sure if it's a POP error with GMail.

You are not alone. Check out the "email lag?" thread on the front page.

    Here's something else from bb.com
    Problem

Gmail removes messages from the Post Office Protocol (POP3) server when accessed by a BlackBerry Internet Service for T-Mobile integration.

    Workaround

Set up mail forwarding to your BlackBerry Internet Service address.
    1. Log in to the BlackBerry Internet Service for T-Mobile account, and delete the existing Gmail integration.
    2. Create a BlackBerry Internet Service for T-Mobile hosted mailbox (username@tmo.blackberry.net). For instructions see KB-04478.
    3. Edit this account so that the email field contains username@gmail.com. Now, messages sent from your BlackBerry® wireless device will appear to have originated from your Gmail account.
    4. Log in to Gmail. Go to Settings > Forwarding and POP.
    5. Select the Forward a copy of incoming mail to... option and type username@tmo.blackberry.net.
    6. Select Keep Gmail’s copy in the inbox.

    Thanks for those two resources!

Unfortunately, I am stifled by the instructions:

Edit this account so that the email field contains username@gmail.com. Now, messages sent from your BlackBerry® wireless device will appear to have originated from your Gmail account.

How do I change the account so it sends as xxxxx@gmail.com?

ok, made some progress. Do I change the "Email Account" box or the "Reply To" box?
