Perhaps the icon is hidden. Is this a new device or did you purchase it from someone? Do you see an icon that says e-mail setup wizard? Press the BB Menu Button (to the left of the trackball), scroll down and select Show All. See if the icon shows up.

Do you have a BIS account? You can also load e-mail accounts that way.

Okay, I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I'm understanding what the issue is here, but from what I gather, the device could still be "registered" to the person you purchased it from. Are you trying to activate the device on a BlackBerry Exchange Server or is this device for your personal use?

Do you have a data plan?

You will need a data plan in order to get e-mails to your device. Where are you located? Who is your provider?

Thanks for the info, but you'll need to have a data plan if you want e-mails pushed to your device.
