    Question Bought a used 8300

Decided to transition from my Pearl to a Curve, however the used Curve I bought had some email accounts already registered to it's PIN.

Even though I wiped the unit with the latest device hardware from AT&T, the previous owner's gmail account is still registered on the unit.

I deleted it from the Service Book and the icon dissappeared, however I'm still getting some strange email from Unknown.

Anyone know what to do for me to completely remove the previous email accounts on this unit?

It's configured for BES with my company.

    Thanks!

BB PIN is still registered to previous owner. The pin has to get released, try calling your carrier and maybe they can help. usually the owner has to get the pin released before selling it...

Yep, having the owner release the PIN is really your only option.

    Re: Bought a used 8300

So I was able to log into my AT&T BIS account and change my PIN and IMEI and so far so good.

I guess the previous owner already released their pin? or perhaps they got a new blackberry and switched to their new pin thus releasing their old one?

In anycase, it's working well now. Thanks so much for the feedback!
