    Hey fellow stackers, I am having some serious problems. Let me try be brief so you will read it all. I have searched and searched and I havent found the solution within the stackers lounge just yet.
    I have a BB Curve 8300, v4.2.2.146, platform 2.4.0.62. The service books for my integrated email addresses refuses to come to the phone.
    I have tried going to HRT and registering - when I do that I get a "Registration Succesful" email. Following that I try to send service books from my PC I see the arrows in the corner flashing away for a bit and then nothing. No service books sent, none whatsoever.

    I have no email Icons, and therefore receive no emails.
    Based on the arrows urge to connect and therefore receive data I believe that it is simply a setting within the phone and must be able to be rectified without sending the instrument to my service provider.

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help, need my BB to work.

    You do have a BB data plan right? I would try contacting your carrier and having them reset your device on their end. They can also check to see if provisioning is enabled. Sometimes this will do the trick. Give them a call and give it a shot.

    yeah, have a data plan, in fact I am presently browsing the net on the BB, browses fine in the web browser but absolutely no email. only if I navigate to the email web sites.

    Would that work if my provisioning is not in order, besides I have the service book that is called provisioning, i even tried registering it. after that still nothing......AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

    Went into options, advanced opstions, service book
    opened the 'provisioning' service book, it says active in the record type field.
    Selected the menu 'show HRT' and selected 'register now' . The arrows did thier usual dance on the screen then a dialogue box came up saying "The record being displayed has been changed" subsequent to that I received another successful registration from the network. Sent the service books, arrows appear again and nothing.

    Vaughn,

    Any luck yet? Do you have a set up icon on the phone? (make sure you "show all" icons) If so you can try from there to set up email or even resend service books.

    Hope this works!

    Where did you set up your email accoun to puch to the BB? On line?

    well i have set up from both ends, from the BB as well as from the PC, sent books from both sides as well, really not sure what to do next.

    Have you done a battery pull with the phone on to reset? Sorry to say that after that I am out of ideas - seems like a provider issue...

    OK GUYS, solution for the moment
    I went into MY BIS and deleted all email addresses and started over, everyone except the Yahoo one came back. The yahoo one uses a different Icon, and popped up twice but never came through
    I am crossing my fingers that they stay there till morning and I will wake up and see them. If they get knocked off I dont know what I would do next.

    quick question, my service books are two fold each one has in brackets[CICAL] AND [CMIME]

    IS IT SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THAT????

    Yes your service books for your email are supposed to have two like that, correct.

    last night when i sifted through all the problems until I had succes with four of my five email addresses, the fifth one XXX@yahoo.co.uk didnt work. I just tried entering it on BIS as XXX@yahoo.com, and guess what, it works, I now have the yahoo icon and am able to receive mailsi find that strange because yahoo.co.uk used to work in the past when i had my pearl. but for now all is well
