BIS 2.0 & Content Transfer Encoding

So i have an odd situation, and any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
One of the things that also changed with 2.0 is content transfer encoding. When you now set up a new BIS2.0 account(at least with my Carrier Bell Mobility)All email is sent using base64 content transfer encoding, rather than clearplaintext as it was wtih BIS 1.8.
This has caused a major problem for the company i work for.
I have been working with RIM regarding this problem since NOV/06 with no resolution.
Anybody who has any ideas or a third party fix would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear this. You are using BIS for your Company email? What support has RIM offered so far?

    i'm having the same problem.

i'm on Tmobile's BIS and my schools' spam blocker hates base 64

is there a way to get out of it? different email viewer? etc?

i'm stuck using gmail on my pearl because of it.

    Thanks
