2 Problems with Verizon.net email account

Hi. This forum is invaluable. But two things I still can't figure out:

My setup: Blackberry 8700e running on Verizon. I have a Verizon POP account configured on BIS. I use the Apple Mail program on Mac OSX 10.4.8 on my laptop.

    1. When I send an email to someone else from my laptop, it shows up on my Blackberry. My email is not set up to CC me. How can I stop this?

    2. I am unable to file any of my Verizon email on the BB- I can't put it in a folder- that option does not come up when I hit the clickwheel. Any idea why?

    Thanks so much.

Question 1- Quick fix: You can set a rule or filter on the blackberry account (verizon pop).
    a) Select "filters" on the verizon pop account
    b) Select "Add Filter"
    c) On the filter name, choose any name you want
    d) On the "Apply filter when" field, select "From" field
    e) On the "contains" field, put your verizon's email adress
    f) Select "Do not forward messages to handheld" and click save

Question 2 - You should have a "save" option on the messages menu..
    Hope this helps..

    Great suggestion for Question 1.

For Question 2: I do indeed have a "Save" option - but

    A) How can I create other folders

    and

    B) That doesn't seem to remove the saved emails from the main list. Is there a way to do that?

    Thanks again.

Stackers, Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see a way to create folders on the 8703.
If you want to remove saved emails from the main list, go to messages-options and On the "Hide filed messages" field select yes and save.
Let me know if this helps..

    NJTransit, Welcome to PinStack.

I assume that you are on BIS 2.x You can not create folders for your BB with this version of the BIS. As to marking an email as saved, once you do that you can delete the original message. Then when you pull up your Saved Messages you will still have the saved one.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.
