    SDCard Probs on Linux

I am running Kubuntu (Gutsy) and have noticed that after mounting/umounting the sdcard I will have a truncated file on the sdcard. I am using Audibleair (http://audible.com) and some of the audiobooks are quite long. Just now, for either the 2nd or 3rd time, I have had an interrupted listen and discovered that the 7.5-hour-long section of my book was missing because the file was truncated, again.

I have tried using 'sync' to get all writes finished before umounting the card but this has not worked. Fact is, I had my first truncation happen post-sync.

Has anyone else noted this?? I am running OS v4.2.1.94 (Rogers), but it has also happened on TMO's .64, and, I believe, .107.

    Thanks...

I've never had a problem with copies music to the SD card. Running Gutsy and using 4.2.2.171 on 8320. It may be the file size that is an issue, I will try to replicate and see if I can find an answer. Perhaps you can just split up the files into smaller sizes and it will not be an issue anymore.
