    Hello,

I'm trying this out and I can't see my sister in another state. She has granted me permission but she gets a message saying location request, "you currently have no devices available. How can we add them? Thanks.

I've previously paired my gps bluetooth with my bby and then installed google maps to test if it's working. Then, after installed of bbtracker, thing goes on without any trouble

    Hope it will help you

It also does some cool stuff such as letting you see a predefined interval of GPS coordinates(i.e if you want to see the phone's path on a map for the day before, or certain hours, etc,.). I just wrote it yesterday but I'd like to have some people help me test it out, so if anyone is interested just PM me. I still have lots of features to add, but this does the basic tracking.

Basically the process for getting it set up goes like this:

Go to the web site and sign up and create a username/password.
Download the OTA application on your phone and the login with same username/password.
The application will begin sending GPS data to the web application.
Login to the site from anywhere to see the map data.

Check out the site at " bb [dot] tech9computers [dot] com "

    Let me know comments/suggestions.
Registered, downloaded appl. Does not appear to recognize Holux GPSlim236 puck. Appl. screen shows "N/A" for all location information although Telenav recognizes current location. After logging onto the web site, under Manage Devices I get "There are currently no devices on your account."

    Re: Web Based GPS Tracking

Registered, installed and working fine on my 8800c.

A feature request (no doubt you're getting many -- sorry!), is the ability to set the update frequency. Default can be whatever the default is now, of course. I'm not on an unlimited data plan; and although receiving satellite signals is free, transmitting coordinates wouldn't be.

I do like the idea of this application, primarily it'd be for letting friends know where I am but not if it ends up costing me a fortune, hehe. The option to transmit data continuously [default], hourly, every 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours would be great if it's doable.

    Thanks for the application!

    Hi,

I've got a new version of Blackberry Tracker ready to go. This implements the main stuff that people wanted. You can download it at http://bb.tech9computers.com/download/. I'll start working on some updates to the site now that I've released this version. If you have any bugs with this or feature request please be sure to post them at Trac. Here is the change log:

    08/17/2007
    Change Log
    --------------------------------------------------

    Added an about menu.
Application checks for updates upon launch.
Added an option to remember login information.
    Added a settings menu.
Added ability to change GPS update interval in settings.
    Added an application icon.
Changed a few UI related components.

Do we need to delete 0.1 first? Or will it just up date?
Needed to get a replacement 8330 Curve again, so I got a New pin and it's in my profile... Got 8330m now!

    Re: Web Based GPS Tracking

    Thx for this update.
Have you a roadmap about the feature you will bring on your web site? or do we have to read your trac tickets ?
So, I make some proposes or suggestions with a new ticket a few minutes ago.
Hope I'll be delighted with the new updates
    Thx

I have the same problem with a bb 8100. See my earlier post (copied below):

Registered, downloaded appl. Does not appear to recognize Holux GPSlim236 puck. Appl. screen shows "N/A" for all location information although Telenav recognizes current location. After logging onto the web site, under Manage Devices I get "There are currently no devices on your account."
