Question Using the 8800's GPS receiver externally

    Hi,

Is it possible for the 8800's GPS receiver to transmit GPS information via Bluetooth, so that it acts as a Bluetooth GPS receiver?

For example, on my laptop I have AutoRoute 2007, which has the ability to use a GPS sensor to receive GPS information. Could the 8800's GPS receiver be used to transmit GPS information to AutoRoute 2007? (which would mean I don't need to buy a Bluetooth GPS receiver).

In AutoRoute 2007 the settings tell me that the GPS receiver must be NMEA 2.0-compatible, and there a list of available COM ports.

    Regards,

    Neil

I do not think that it is possible. You will probably have to get a USB or Bluetooth one for your laptop.
