    Singk, in this case, this person doesn't have a GPS-integrated device (so, no policy can make a feature work when the supporting chipset isn't on the board to begin with)

    Secondly - that's not entirely accurate - it really depends what polling interval they chose to use. (if they pick one update an hour, that's really not going to impact your battery life much).

    I have our tracking on for our company. I haven't had to use it for any purpose yet but it's on and my battery lasts the same on my phone as it always has.

    I have never had a Blackberry that I didn't have to charge nightly.
