~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ if you have an unlimited data plan you could use google maps with a BT GPS that will hey you around the subscription for some services

you need to search for Bluetooth GPS RECEIVER www.buygpsnow.com

you can use it with BB Maps or Google Maps for free.
there are applications that do charge, and include turn by turn voice instructions, i believe (telenav off the top of my head).

You can get one for as cheap as 50 bucks on eBay. But common is 70 to 100

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ GPS works well if you have unlimited data, but I just wish there was a mapping program that will enable GPS without data

    jayhoe, Welcome to PinStack.

If you are talking about Maps, the current memory setup for apps just doesn't have enough capacity to support mapping. There may be Apps that will display your GPS coordinates though. If RIM ever releases software that will allow utilization of the add in memory, you might see an app or two for maps that don't require a network connection.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with your BB.

    Re: Gps?

I did some extension research on this site and based on the results, decided on the GlobalSat BT-359. I just received it and it works better than ANY GPS I have ever used before. It works flawlessly with the 8100. I bought it on eBay NEW for $76 + $8 shipping. It retails for $149. It is also very small and thin.
