Thanks for the info. However, the term "lifetime" might just mean 2 years at most for many of us here! If it's a user license, then it is a very good deal. I guess I've asked too much!

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

My mom and I just bought a Garmin GPS for my dad's truck which we found out can be transferred to my van. I would be interested in that but the fee is a little steep. Has anyone else paired a Garmin with a BB? How good does it work?

Well, I did keep my last phone for about 4 years. I'm not one to rush with phones although other electronics - jiffy on the spot.

Can one test the software before committing?

You can test it. I loved it---however, I optedto go for Telenav.

Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

Yes you can, they offer a trial period.

I bought mine directly from Garmin at their site. $99 one-time fee. For 1 device only. I gather that if you get a new phone, you can't transfer it, and you'll have to buy it again.
