I used to have the SERO plan with a Treo and it worked fine...but with Blackberries they have special plans usually...so you might be stuck. Try playing with the TCP APN.

Also, I just added a Facebook application for Blackberry Tracker. You have the option of displaying your location on your profile.

You wouldn't happen to know the TCP APN settings for Sprint would you?

Try using internet.com as the APN, no user and pass.

Hey xo, any plans to add the ability to view the tracking maps directly from the blackberry, so you can track while mobile? ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Yeah, I'm actually working on a mobile site right now, I'll let you know when I deploy it.

Re: Blackberry GPS Tracking

Tried it and it works great.

P.S. In case your phone is lost or stolen, it would be a good idea to be able to send the phone a message and have the message display in full screen at home screen saying, hey im coming to get YOU and MY phone, haha.

Re: Blackberry GPS Tracking

I have a Rogers blackberry 8310 and it will not loggin. It's just stuck at "logging you in" and that's it. It's not doing anything at all. I have software version 4.2.2 installed and the 4.2 client. I don't think it even tries connecting to the server. Hittin login and escaping straight to the main menu, I don't see any connection activity respented by the two arrows in the top right corner besides EDGE. I work for a Rogers wireless dealer, so this tool would be great to show our customers if I got it working.

What version are you using? This is a known issue that I'm working on.

Re: Blackberry GPS Tracking

Can you tell me if this will work without a data plan or does it use data to constantly update the gps status? Thanks

Kind of what I was wondering; would it use data? I'm planning on going on a roadtrip tomorrow but I'm driving alone to NorCal, and I plan on being on the phone most of the way. Would I still be able to be tracked, or would it not work since I'm on the phone and can't send data?

EDIT: Boo, stuck at the login screen. Newest version, just downloaded from blackberrytracker.com/ota .
