~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ it expired after 4 months of use. Maybe longer than 4 months. Just uninstall and reinstall and I was back to normal.

Used this for the first time this morning, though I installed it months ago. Why haven't I been using this instead of BB Maps? Much better performance, and the call-out for directions is reminiscent of the old TomTom I had on my Treo. This just moved up in my apps list...

Does Mapquest Navigator require a data plan? While using, does it download data to the phone? And one last question. Is there any way to get the app on the phone if you don't have the internet on your phone. I've got the 7100i through Nextel, but don't have a data plan.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ you would need a data plan to use as the maps aren't stored on your phone. Maps would need to be downloaded.

Here is my Review... I love it!!! ![]() Last night on my way home from the office i used it, and it gave great directions. Night Mode looks great day or night. I live in the middle of Nowhere, and when i didn't turn where it told me to, it re-routed me instantly using the lesser traveled country roads i usually take. I will be installing this on my wifes Blackberry tonight!! Great Application!! |

I downloaded it and it looks fantastic. But I have the same question. IS there any cost involved? It does not mention any.

I downloaded this app tonight and tried it on my way home. Flawless was my experience. From what I see, there is no fees involved, but you will need a data plan being that it is assisted GPS.

The only thing missing from the app is to be able to navigate to and address in your address book.

Does it have a setting to keep screen from going into standby mode? Have a problem with Google maps going into standby after a few minutes.

MN does not go into standby mode when it is activly in GPS. That is one of the best features. Couple that with the fact that it has a great day/night mode. No cost involved at all. ak602 - I agree, that would be a great feature to put in the next interface.
