Question Wifi use with apps, third party browser, utilities, etc

Hey guys, just wondering if you can use WIFI on 8320 for messengers(Gtalk, Yahoo, ICQ, Windows Messenger, etc), Opera Mini(Beta and regular), Berry Weather, etc etc(You get the idea)..?? Or Do you still have to depend on your BIS/BES Data plan?

I know you can use WIFI to browse websites, download stuff..But can apps also utilitize this for data?

Much appreciated!

Re: Wifi use with apps, third party browser, utilities, etc

I have worked on getting MSN, YAHOO and AOL for several days with WIFI. I am not able to and keep getting service books error. TMO and RIM have forced the service books to my 8320 and still am not getting them. They are saying that I need a data plan to get the service books (BIS/ BES) otherwise it will continue to timeout when they try to send them thru the network.

Instant Messenger: Wifi use third party browser

FREEWARE (preferred)

Are there any third party applications that I can load to my 8320, that will do Instant Messenger via wifi (e.g. MSN/ YAHOO/ AOL)

I do not have the BIS/ BES plans, so my data connection is only via local WIFI connection

Re: Wifi use with apps, third party browser, utilities, etc

I find that if I want a weather update on
WorldMate Live, I have to switch the WiFi off. I wish I didn't have to do that.
