WIFI on pearl
is it possible for the 8100 to support wifi?

Darky, the Pearl is not Wifi enabled so it won't work. Hopefully future Pearl-like models will be made with WiFi in the near future.

If I understand correctly WiFi will never be available on the Pearls? Even with future OS upgrades?

future OS upgrades, nope. since wifi would need a hardward upgrade.

That would be cool. The Pearl is already one of the elite phones out there but wifi would really make it the best.

a future micro SD WiFi card?? with OS update from RIM???? WiFi and A2DP would complete the PEARL for me.....ULTIMATE all in one

the card is available, but the chances are RIM will not release an OS to support it. why would they want to take away potential sales from the 8820 and any other future models with wifi built in?
