Lightbulb WiFi & Installing 3rd Party Applications

A heads up to my fellow WIFI users....It does appear that there can be issues with 3rd party applications installed OTA using WiFi.

Following a recent operating system install (no not 4.5) I had issues after reinstalling a few of the 3rd party apps, specifically Empower Pro and Yahoo!OneSearch. Although both appeared to install without issue, both had problems registering. I double checked my APN, made sure I had my firewall disabled and that all permissions were set to allow, however both programs continued to have issues (Empower kept telling me to disable my firewall and Yahoo insisted I needed to set the permissions )

The solution was simply to delete the applications, disable wifi, and reinstall over the EDGE network. Both installed and worked perfectly.

    Gary,
Great info & time-saver for fellow stackers! Maybe you should put it up on your blog as well for ppl with wifi devices.
