WiFi?

Ok Im no techie so here's a question for you who are. Is it possible to make the Pearl Wifi enabled in the future or is this a hardware issue all together?

Yclif, this is a hardware issue so I don't believe it will be possible. The good news is that the new 8800 will be wifi enabled.

Do any of the current blackberries have wifi? Or was that limited only to that one that was a VoIP berry with no cell?

8800 will...no other berries other than above mentioned as of now.

With the BB data plan I don't see a need for wifi.

It could be useful for some IF the device autoconnects when a connection is detected and IF it gets fast downloads via all connections, 2 things people that got the Dash complained of right off the bat. I have a similar question: the Tmob gets a 3G network going where I am will the Pearl automatically connect with that?

I don't think so. Cingular has 3G deployed and offers the Pearl, but their Pearl doesn't work with it -- a couple of other phones do though (like the Blackjack).

I wish 3G and WiFi were just software upgrades.

I for one, can't wait for wifi. With the less than stellar network at my house I welcome wifi there. Its really the only place where my coverage stinks.
