    Wi-Fi Browser & Internet Browser

Ok, I read a a thread similar to this but there was no real answer for it.

How do you switch between the Wi-Fi Browser and the Internet Browser on the Curve without going to Options > General Config (or whatever it is) and changing the default browser then exiting the browser and re-opening it?

That works, yes, but seriously, that is anything but simple and straight forward. If I'm on WiFi or EDGE for that matter and want to switch from one to the other and stay on the same site I'm at, other then going through the steps listed above and THEN adding in going to History and opening the page I was at. . .has to be an easier way.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I'm still at a loss though, as the screen where I should be able to change the option. . . .I don't have the option to change it. Post #23 is what I SHOULD see

What are the directions for the 8820?

Wifi is great but it is annoying having to change the default browser back and forth..

When using the wi-fi browser, you don't get the optimized for bb experience as you would when using the Internet browser or BlackBerry browser. Both of these (Internet and BlackBerry) browsers take advantage of the wi-fi connection, but also are compressed and optimized for the BB.

    Forgive my ignorance (1st BB)...

I have a T-Mo Curve and I have the t-zones browser and the Wi-Fi browser. I don't have an Internet or Blackberry Browser option. What gives?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~hey chaos, this could be for a few reasons.

Make sure your data services are turned on: options > mobile network

If that doesn't do it register on the mobile network: options > advanced > host routing table > (menu button) register now

Give that a few minutes, you will get a sms saying you have been registered on the network

Also, does your network status say edge or gsm?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~btw, I have found out that you don't need to use the wifi browser to take advantage of wifi. If you have a working wifi connection, the browser will take advantage of it and use it

Thanks Germy. I ran thru both your steps.
My data services were on and I registered on the network. At home, I'm showing UMA/Wi-Fi and I'm connected to the BIS network. When I leave home/out of wifi range, I'm no longer connected to BIS. Confused

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~when you have wifi on anway though internet browser should be available, hmm. Turn data off, then turn 'mobile network' off, then turn data on then turn mobile network on.
