Now they want me to change my plan to a my faves plan first in order to add it for $79.99 Uhmm, and then I would be able to get the promo??? I said no and they said they would make a ticket that would take 72 hrs to look into it. This is making me mad. Even though the rep said that the requirements do not say that it requires that you have a my fav plan in place already. Whatever... Still need you Jonnny

No I am not on a my faves plan. But then where is the savings? You pay $79.99 for the family my faves plan and get your mins, my faves. M to M and nights and weekends, so you are paying $9.99 to add H@H.. So, my plan right now is $49.99 plus $9.99 for H@H.. $59.99..

I would be paying $30.00 more just to have my faves added? Does that make sense to anyone? Because it doesn't make sense to me at all.

I am not including the data plan in this just to keep it simple.

What you are saying makes sense, but i think it is a Family My faves add on....if you get it let me know as I do not have nights & weekends or mobile to mobile but I am paying $9.99 now just for talk Forever on my individual line - I could use this!

My plan is a family plan for $49.99 that we have been on since 2002 and I get M to M, unlimited nights and weekends, holidays. I also pay $9.99 for H@H and $19.99 for each line (we have 2 lines) for the data plan.. All together our bill is $100.00.. Is there a better deal then that with TMO? We don't use our phones in place of a landline, so we don't use much of the minutes up.

I understand that TMO does not have the family $49.99 plan anymore.

I have 5 people on a MyFaves plan (each living at a different location) and we are all able to use the phones as landline replacements. We use thousands of minutes in the MyFaves, M2M and N/W pools, while all together we don't normally use over 250 anytime minutes. With this new promo addon, I suspect we'll cut that anytime use down by 1/2. I admit that 2 of 5 lines utilize GrandCentral as an expansion of the MyFaves program.

While switching to MyFaves would be a little more monthly to T-Mobile, there is a likelyhood that you could drop your landline(s) so it would still cost less in the long run.

And the $9.99 promo plan adds M2M and H@H. M2M is not included in MyFaves plans like it is on regular family plans.

I know, we still have a landline??? It is because we have internet through our phone company and you have to have a landline requirement to get the good rate, so we signed yet another 2 yr contract in order to keep the same low price for life. So, we are stuck with it for another year.

When that is up, we will def get rid of the landline and go with Comcast for internet and then we can take advantage of the my faves family plan and the H@H unlimited wifi calling. Someone said to take advantage of the deal now even if you don't have a wifi phone. I am wondering if I should change our plan to that so that we will have the deal when we do dump our landline.

Yes, you can add the option now. Just express to the rep that you understand you won't see benefits now, but that you want to add the option before it expires. You will probably need to switch to a faves plan tho. (Only 2 of the 5 lines on my plan are UMA capable. I plan on switching the others once their contracts are up and I can get free phones.)

Find out what the ETF is for your DSL/Phone combo. If you'd end up saving money or breaking even by switching now instead of waiting a year, go ahead and do it! :-)

^^Thanks, that is a good plan. Has anyone else taken advantage of this promo? Did anyone have any problems signing up? Did you have to have a family my fav plan already?

I saw on TMO website that they have another promo to get a family my fave plan with more mins for $69.99

You can switch to a MyFaves plan at the same time you sign up for the promo. It is a promo with a yet to be announced end date, so hurry! You should also call and ask if you would qualify for any discounts based on your employer. I get about 10% discount (varies based on group spend each month) which basically covers the taxes.

I am on the 800 minute MyFaves for Families plan. I switched the first day I saw it.

Do you have to sign a 2 year contract to switch plans?

You'd have to call and ask them. The website states 2 years, however that might be for a new customer or one who is switching from a basic plan to a MyFaves plan. When I switched from one MyFaves to another MyFaves they only did 1 year.

I thought that if someone changed to a myfaves plan from a regular plan, it's no contract extension? I used to have myfaves but not anymore but I thought I heard that so more people would switch over.
