Thumbs up Office WLAN urgent Help please

My office WLAN is set up as follows:

    Cisco AP-1200 b/g
    802.1x via PEAP, WEP, MS-CHAPv2.
I do not require client certificates, and windows clients do not require a server certificate.

I set up my 8320 as follows:

    Security Type: PEAP
username: I tried username, and domain\username
    password: my password
CA Certificate: None Selected (also tried selecting a random one)
    Inner Link Security: EAP-MSCHAP-V2
    Token: None Selected
Server subject: I have no idea what this is
Server SAN: I have no idea what this is...

It doesn't work. All my other clients are configured similarly but the BB won't connect and it claims "incorrect credentials".
    Any hints?

Did you try your username as john@doe.com.

When you connect you have entered the correct SSID and WEP key in correct? Alot of places don't display there SSID for security purposes.

Thank you for trying to help, I tried the user name as username@domain that did not help. Also, the network's SSID is not broadcated and the wep key is automatically provided.

This sounds like an issue where the BlackBerry is expecting a server certificate, even though windows clients don't. Download the CA Root Certificate to your desktop and follow these steps:

To load a network security certificate on a BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following steps:
    1. Download the root certificate from the certificate authority server to the computer.
    2. On the computer, right-click the root certificate.
    3. Click Install certificate.
    4. Click Next.
    5. Click Place all certificates in the following store.
    6. Click Browse.
    7. Click Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
    8. Click OK.
    9. Click Finish.
    10. In the Security Warning dialog box, click Yes.
    11. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    12. In the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, double-click Certificate Synch. Note: If the certificate synchronization tool is not installed on the computer, reinstall the BlackBerry Desktop Software using the custom installation option. During the custom installation, install the certificate synchronization tool.
    13. On the Root Certificate tab, select the certificate to download.
    14. Click Synchronize to load a certificate on a BlackBerry smartphone.

Check with your IT on where to download a root certificate. We use a MS infrastructure and we are given an internal website and can download root (and personal) certificates on our own. In our case the website is somethinginternal/certserv

Does it have to be a specific CA I found few on the internet for free. Or does it have to be one issued from the work place. And how come the laptop doesn't ask for it when it connects to the same network I am trying to connect the BB to. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Re: Office WLAN urgent Help please

I figured out a solution, I set up the BB to connect using LEAP instead of PEAP and it works just fine. I am shocked and happy at the same time. Thanks to getmetty and MWPatterson for trying to help.
