How to: Use the Wi-Fi Diagnostics tool

Procedure

Wi-Fi Diagnostics tool - basic mode

To use the Wi-FiŽ Diagnostics tool in basic mode, complete the following steps:
  1. Click Options.
  2. Click Wi-Fi Connections.
  3. From the Wi-Fi Connections menu, click Wi-Fi Diagnostics to display a basic Wi-Fi Diagnostics report.
Wi-Fi Diagnostics tool - advanced mode

To use the Wi-Fi Diagnostics tool in advanced mode, complete the following steps:
  1. Click Options.
  2. Click Wi-Fi Connections.
  3. From the Wi-Fi Connections menu, click Wi-Fi Diagnostics.
  4. From the Wi-Fi Diagnostics menu, click Options.
  5. In the Display Mode field, click Basic.
  6. From the Display Mode menu, click Advanced.
  7. From the Options menu, click Save to display an advanced Wi-Fi Diagnostics report.
Emailing a Wi-Fi Diagnostics report

The Wi-Fi Diagnostics report lists key information regarding the Wi-Fi connection of the BlackBerry smartphone. For support purposes, the BlackBerry smartphone user may need to email this report to a technical support representative.
To email the Wi-Fi Diagnostics report, complete the following steps:
  1. From the Wi-Fi Diagnostics report menu, click Email Report.
  2. In the To field, type the email address.
  3. From the menu, click Send to email the Wi-Fi Diagnostics report.

Actually its the XX20 phones that have wifi. The 8820, the 8320 and the 8120.

No you won't be able to see that because the pearl 8100 doesn't support wifi. This guide are for the 88xx series, 83xx, and 81xx series that support wifi.

What do you mean by sign?
If your device isn't the new 8120 that just lanched then it isn't supported. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
