You probably haven't downloaded the Device Software package for your BlackBerry and installed it on your PC. You can find it by following the link for your carrier in this thread, BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites.

I just have a question. Now since I installed the verizon theme onto my curve I love it, but is there anyway to change the wallpaper to something else I have a picture of on my computer?

john clark(or whoever the creator of the theme is) would there be any way of making the arrows and the accents on this theme a blue color instead of the red? i love the theme...just not a fan of red...

Just go to a picture on your berry... hit the menu button... and select set as background image

Actually, the only way to "log out" of BlackBerry Messenger is to turn off your wireless connection or the phone itself. Otherwise it's always on and connected.

Also, by the way, now that Verizon has a Pearl, is there any chance of this theme making it to the 8100 like the 7100 series did?

Finally just got this loaded on my brand new 8310. First downloaded and installed the latest AT&T OS:

    BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.2.2.312 (Multilanguage)

    Package Version: 4.2.2.312
    Consisting of:
    • Applications: 4.2.2.170
    • Software Platform: 2.5.0.30
    • File name: 8310M_PBr4.2.2_rel312_PL2.5.0.30_A4.2.2.170_AT&T.e xe
I've had the Verizon theme for the Curve for sometime, and it always loaded fine on my 8300. But no luck with this new 8310, each time it says no valid application was found. I even tried modifying the blackberry.alx file and dropping the .cod file in the java directory, and nothing. Managed to unlock all the other themes fine of course.

So I used javaloader found in the RIM Java Components Developer's Package, and after dumping javaloader.exe in the same directory as the verizon .cod and .alx files, ran this from the command line:

    javaloader.exe -u load net_rim_theme_105_zen_320x240_b.cod

    It then displayed this:

    RIM Wireless Handheld Java Loader
Copyright 2001-2007 Research In Motion Limited
    Connected
    Loading net_rim_theme_105_zen_320x240_bDone
584866 bytes sent at ~584866 bps
    Disconnected

and the bytes of course rapidly increased until "disconnected" appeared.

And voila, I'm using the latest AT&T 8310 OS, and the Verizon theme works fine.

Just would't allow me to install using the verizon .alx file, or by modifying the default blackberry.alx file.

I'll try and dump all 3 files in a zip file somewhere and post a link, I don't think you even need the full RIM developer package, just the javaloader.exe. And possibly the latest jdk from sun, I downloaded jdk-1_5_0_15-windows-i586-p.exe from Sun's website last night to run a screenshot application for making some documentation for my users.

At least it made me install that jdk before allowing me to install BlackBerry_JDE_Components_4.3.0.exe.

But its possible you might just need that javaloader.exe to do this.

EDIT: I made some .rar files with all the necessary files. Hosted by Badongo for free, and they actually tend to have very fast download speeds. I've seen my RR cable exceed +1000 Kbps plenty of times.

Verizon .alx and .cod files with just javaloader.exe 471kb (this may or may not work)

Verizon .alx and .cod files, and jdk 1.5, and blackberry jde components 4.3.0 62mb (no need to register as a developer on RIM's site this way)

    Both have text file instructions.

Please feel free to PIN me if you need assistance, amd post if the first .rar works without having to install the jdk 1.5 and blackberry jde components.

    Thanks and enjoy!

No idea. I created a wallpaper for my own and IMHO this looks better
