Re: Solution for missing browser, themes, etc.

awesome. It worked on my vodaphone software and somehow it also gave me themes from all the carriers who have released the curve. I messed up the first time by not selecting to erase all the system software and assuming it would write over it. It did not. Second time was a charm. Ridiculous that T-Mobile will not support downoads from T-Zones such as ring tones, wall paper and the like siting an unsupported device.

When I go into it, there is no _vendorID= code. What the hell?

Help. Please?

PS I have an at&t branded curve with OS 4.2.2.89 and I'm using it on at&t.

The "file" you speak of is the software folder. Open that folder and proceed to step 5 before moving on to step 6.

Will it work on any other OS? I.E. a&t, Rogers, or T-Mo Germany?

Re: Solution for missing browser, themes, etc.

OP repped for this thread. I tried everything to get my blackberry browser and this method in the first post worked. My only suggestionw would be to add one step which would be replacing the c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\*Your BBOS Folder*\Platform.alx with this modified one that also remove PTT.

Re: Solution for missing browser, themes, etc.

ok, was able to follow the steps and i ended up with one broswer....and from the looks of it, it's the BB browser. but i do not have the t-zones.

can someone pls clarify for me....is there essentially 3 broswers on tmo? BB browser, IE and tzones?

the reason i ask is, i want to be able to surf w/o my BES tracking my whereabouts. and as i understand it, if i use the BB browser - they can track it.

pls advise.
