My 8310 is not giving me the delete option under my options/theme page. After highligthing the unwanted theme that came with my curve and pressing the menu/bb button there is no delete. I would like to dump some themes to free up memory. Help please.

Look in the Guides for some info on using Javaloader. With it, you can delete any .cod file on the Berry. One word of don't delete the Dimension theme, it evidently contains a lot of the graphics goodies for the Berry itself.

    rhutch,

I beleive the only way to delete preloaded themes is editing the Blackberry.alx loader files. Futhermore, unlesss you are very experienced with your device I dont recommend it as some themes are dependent on others to work, so deleting these pre-loaded themes can have unpredictable results ...

    if you goto the

    Program Files>Common fiels>Research in Motion>Shared>Loader Files>"os files">java

then you should find all of the .cod files. there you can remove into an "un-used" folder. you can cut away any theme that is not "dimension" all of the other themes are safe to cut away and paste in the "un-used" folder.

it is my understanding that you run a risk trying to delete and of the "dimension" themes because they are part of the core programing between themes and every theme uses parts of it, so if you delete one you run the risk of some of your themes not working properly......
