Microsoft should concentrate on making Vista a must have before moving on to IE8. Service pack 1 didn't even help. FF will continue to dominate the browser market.

true, BUT...it's not like they pull people from the os team and put them on the browser team. ms has many divisions, working independently on different hardwares/softwares.
2 is not equal to 3, not even for large values of 2.

of course, but maybe they need to put their heads together and concentrate on fixing 1 thing rather trying to push something else in hopes we forget about the last mistake when in fact it just shines light on the NEW mistake and brings up more of the past mistakes. lol.

I wonder if Microsofts IT team has pushed out vista to all their users or if they are still running XP. I would be interested in finding that out.

Personally I think they should put the SP1 Vista upgrade first and give it a year before putting IE8 out.

On a similar note....My Pinstack site looks better ( much clearer and sharper text and colors) on IE7 than it does on FF - is there a setting I am missing?

Probably u don't have ClearType enabled on your OS. If it's windows... right click the desktop > Properties > appearance > effects > check the the "clear type" box.

No expert here but I'm not even tempted to try IE, new or previous. I'm a die-hard firefox user. Adblock alone is worth it to me - if IE has something similar I'm too ignorant to know it.
