    BB (8320) to BB (8100)

My number in the US is (530) 518-XXXX with ATT and
his number in France is 06 62 46 XXXX with Bouygues.

The error message says "Invalid number, re-send with valid
10 digit mobile number or valid short code"

I have tried several times; any ideas?

    Thanks!

The error message says the system needs a 10 digit number, but that is incorrect.

I tried it again with the country code (France is 33), as you suggested, and it worked just fine.

Anyone have an idea on approx costs, for both sender and receiver?

    Thanks again,

    Bonjour!
I have sent several text messages to France. I lived there for a year and made a lot of friends, as well as met some here in the states before I left. I do not have an international plan (which means I rarely ever send texts) but every time I do I don't have a problem, and they get the texts. I have their phones numbers stored in my address book like this:
    0-11-33-then their phone number.

I have an 8320 on tmobile.

    Your dialing code is interesting.

I put in 33 06 62 46 XXXX (without the 0-11) and it worked fine to a mobile
    in Paris.

    Seems like both methods work!

Do you have any ideas on cost for sender and receiver?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~according to the AT&T site, it is $.25 to send an international text. Assuming you have a text plan, it will not count against your message max. As far as you receiving messages, it will just count against your allotment. If no plan, I believe $.20 per message. As far as your buddy's cost, it will depend on his carrier.

it doesnt cost anything for someone in france to receive SMS (as opposed to here in the usa). it costs .25c to send one to the usa.
