Smile Where the heck is Woodcrest? -

Hey ya all - Frank from Woodcrest CA - Sign in name is KE6VHM - that is my ham radio call sign.
I have had my bb for a long time and probabaly dont use half or more of it. Ya see it was a special deal when I got her. I do use e-mail (2 accts.) and rely on the address book and calendar extensively. Oh and the camera is very cool. Also do use the PC to sync data and add songs.
I can't rember if she is a 8300 or 8310. Anybody know how I can find out? I am an old hacker on the PC but it is a little daunting to learn what all she does.
I enjoy Archery, Fishing and Boating, Off Roading, R/C Boating, Woodworking and playing with my 16 grandchildren.

BTW Woodcrest is a rural part of Riverside, CA

Welcome Frank @ KE6....lived just South of you (San Diego & Oceanside) for many, many years....while stacking isn't a full-time avocation.....it does beat mowing the grass and you get to interact with a myriad of wonderful personalities.

    Hey Corba
Well on the base i run a Kenwood TS520 to a G5rv or a Vert for coverage from 10m thru 80m and an Icom 736a for 2m operation.

In my commuter I just have a 2m Yaesu mobile.

In the Yukon 4x4 I have an Icom 706 for 2m thru 160M to a screwdriver antenna also a 2m Yaesu to a mag mount and even a 11m CB AM/SSB for those guys that haven't got a HAM licsense.

All that won't make much sense to most people.

    Are you a HAM Cobra?
