I did have the opportunity in 1975 to travel the whole Route 66. That was an experience. Unforgettable and a lot of fun. My age then allowed for that.
Then in the '80s I just went to NYC and travelled down the east coast till Cuba, oops sorry, Miami.
Then again, when my eldest son did his Doctorate at Berkeley (he lived in Stockton) I spent a week in Cali. Saw the sites. Great, fabulous.
The normal European doesn't have the perception of the distances... I do, I like to travel and have gone so far as Moscow. But how many countries did I cross ? The diversity is fabulous.
wow Del, where do you live? I have never been out of the USA.

I'm getting the bike ready. Hopefully we can meet in Branson when it gets a tad warmer.

    Thanks Rog.
    Lets be specific...
Porto, Port Wine and the world famous sandwich Francesinha.
South of this city, across the River Douro, although Portugal, we consider the inhabitants Moors...actually no, its Camel country 'cause the arabs fled when we beat the crap out of them way back in the 12th Century.
But they came back...and now Lisbon is the capital.
    Not that we care.

Alberta is in Canada, I am currently living in Calgary (the frozen North, 3549 Km from Houston (about 1800 miles). Having been in the oil industry for the last 40 years, I have lived/worked/traveled to an awful lot of places some of which you wouldn't want to go to

Good to meet you too, whilst Canada is cold in the winter, Calgary has a dry cold and lots of sunshine, along with Chinooks that come down from the Rockies that warm the winters up every 2 or 3 weeks, so it is a good climate to live in, add that to hot summers and it is ideal.
