vendor xml file

Do I delete the vendor.xml file before or after I dl the os v4.5 software and do I have to take out my memery card when downloading os v4.5 for my 8310

Download and install the OS to your PC once you have done that go to c/program file/common files/research in motion/app loader and delete the vendor.xml. Reboot your PC and for good measure your device too and then YES remove the memory card. Connect your device and then open DM and you should be good to go.

By install, Cowboy means to click on the exec icon the download leaves on your desktop, and execute all installation instructions. Then delete vendor file. Then double check that it's gone by going to start, search and putting it back in.
Usb bb, then open dm. It should ask if you want to install upgrade
