| Missing service book with o2 BIS service?
While configuring the JiveTalk beta on a 8300 on o2 with BIS, I discovered that the device lacks the 'IPPP for BIBS' service book. Re-registering the device via the Host Routing Table and re-sending the service books via the web page had no effect. Tech support initially suggested that they could send the missing service book, but it turned out that they were just sending the same service books that I could send from the web site. They claimed that they had no control of individual service books and could just send a pre-configured bundle. Everything except JiveTalk (including the browser, maps, googlemaps, etc.) seems to work ok without the missing service book, so this is not a show-stopper of a problem. But I would be interested to know whether there is any way to obtain the missing book, and if there are other adverse consequences of not having it. Thanks for any suggestions, JPB |

Remove the battery for a soft reset, if this doesn't work, back-up your OS on your desktop manager on your computer and wipe your BB if it comes down to a point where you can't do anything else. Secondary Option: BlackBerry OTA Install - IPPP For BIBS and Other Services The above is a .doc file, please read it carefully.
