blackberry made in china

Just went phone shopping today and I came across a phone shop that had blackberry curves and pearl for incredibly low prices. Was tempted to buy one. But while going thru the pack I noticed there was something unusual and different about this devices. 1st the pack was to weak to have been packaged by RIM, the accesories where obviously of low quality and grade and the device well sums it up was a chinese made blackberry. Not sure if it can browse or can be connected to the blackberry network. But I was made to believe there was no such thing has a fake blackberry or should I say a blackberry made in china. I would like to know what y'all feel about this.

My wife has a Nokia N95 made in china and its super crap. Screen keeps freezing and at time the screen is backward.

The chinese remakes are just look alike replicas... They're meant to stay within china, not for sale outside its borders... Whomever usually sells them outside has acquired them illegally. They don't come with a warranty either...

And the fakeberry won't work like a realberry... The insides are all diff... The outer shell is the only thing that matches up...

Definitely steer clear...

My folks were in china a few years ago after the Iphone launched and there were clones on the street for sale then. It's going to happen. Just be smart enough to know that sometimes a great deal is too good.

im pretty sure it has to be a franchise store, or a private cellular store... they dont have any restrictions as to what devices they can display and sell...

my brother has a chinese dual sim phone which physically replicates the nokia n 73, but its a touchscreen and a dual sim... weird phone... funny looking...
